Shortened plates by Utopia Plates are a unique product – they are all made to a custom size, unlike the one-size-fits-all approach used by most of our competitors. We shorten the plates, leaving a 16mm margin on all edges, producing a perfectly even appearance. You have the option of requesting a specific length for your plates; for example, you may want shortened plates but still need to cover screw holes in your bumper. This requirement can be requested by contacting us after placing your order. Legally, the minimum margin for the number plates must be 11mm.

No, we only sell physical number plates; we do not offer registration entitlement.

Yes, our plates include these markings as required by UK law for plates used within the UK. Some may mistakenly believe these markings are for advertising purposes, but that is not the case. They are legally required, and without them, your car may fail its MOT.
The markings are only about 2.5mm high and, while readable, are small enough not to interfere with the plate’s design. These markings are mandatory on plates produced by UK-based companies for use in the UK, helping authorities in the fight against car cloning. If one of our plates is involved in a crime, the police can trace its origin and come to us to determine the purchaser.

The first priority is to notify the authorities immediately. This should include both the DVLA and the police, as it is important to inform both. By doing so, you alert the authorities that your number plates have been stolen and may potentially be used in criminal activity.

Green EV number plates allow you to proudly showcase your electric vehicle’s eco-friendliness. Introduced on British roads in December 2020, these special plates act as a symbol of environmental commitment.
