If you follow our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram), you may have seen we regularly discard any components which fail our quality control inspection, as they wouldn’t produce the perfect product that we strive to make. All of our number plates can be washed with a pressure washer without any fear of damaging the number plates, and they won’t fade in the sunlight either.
We stock and sell fixing kits which have been rigorously tested to ensure they provide the best mounting solutions for you to attach your new number plates to your vehicle. We have three options:
Sticky fixer kits include a pack of 10 industrial strength sticky pads, which will be enough to affix both a front and rear number plate to your car.
Screw fixing kits include 4 screws, 2 white screw caps and 2 yellow screw caps to blend in with your number plates.

Tracked 24
Once we receive your proof of registration ownership, your plates will be dispatched within 24 hours. Royal Mail aims to deliver the next working day, making this our fastest delivery option.
Tracked 48
Your plates will be dispatched within 48 hours of receiving your ownership documents. Royal Mail aims to deliver within two working days.
Both Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 services include tracking. We’ll email your tracking number so you can monitor the progress of your plates and documents at every stage.
Please note: We do not dispatch orders on Sundays or Bank Holidays. Kindly factor this into your expected delivery timeline. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Are you registered with the DVLA to make replacement number plates?
Plate-Empire is a trading name of Prestige Auto Parts Limited, a registered number plate supplier fully compliant with DVLA regulations and guidelines for the sale of number plates.

Please note that, by law, all number plates must include the suppliers company name, postcode, and the “BSAU 14E” code. These details are printed on each plate to meet DVLA requirements. All our plates use the Charles Wright font, which is the official UK road legal typeface.
The DVLA confirm that three-dimensional characters are legal and compliant with road laws, this includes ‘4D’ number plates, as 4D is only an industry standard name, and they are still classed as three-dimensional.
As a DVLA-registered number plate supplier, we are legally required to request documents that confirm both your identity and your right to use the registration number. We understand this may be a slight inconvenience, but we’ve made the process as straightforward as possible to ensure a smooth experience. Please be cautious of other suppliers who do not request these documents, as it could indicate that the number plates they produce are not road legal and may not comply with DVLA regulations.
Do the names on the ID/proof of address and entitlement document need to match?
UK law allows number plates to be purchased as a gift, which means the names on the required documents do not need to match. You can use your own ID to prove identity, along with a registration entitlement document (e.g. V750 or V5C) belonging to a family member or friend. As long as both documents are valid, we can process the order.
